8 Ways To Eat Clean

EAT WHOLE FOODS

The basic idea of clean eating is to choose foods that are as close to their natural form as possible. So instead of boxed, bagged, or packaged foods, choose fresh, whole ones. Think whole turkey instead of frozen turkey meatballs or raw grapes instead of gummy snacks made with fruit juice

EAT MORE WHOLE GRAINS

Refined carbs lose all the nutrients during the manufacturing process. Trade them for whole wheat bread and pasta and brown or wild rice.

EAT MORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Aim to get at least five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables each day, depending on the calories you need and your level of physical activity. They keep you full and energized for Long durations as compared to chips and crisps.

Before purchasing anything make sure you read the label for added salts and sugars and other nutritional information. Always know what you are eating.

CUT ARTIFICIAL FOOD FROM YOUR DIET

Artificial colours, sweeteners, preservatives, and other man-made ingredients don’t have a place in a clean-eating diet. At the grocery store, read food labels and avoid items with the fake stuff.

KEEP YOURSELF HYDRATED

Always drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated so that you don’t confuse thirst with hunger. Difficulty drinking a lot of water? Put lemons or cucumber in it.

EAT FIVE TO SIX MEALS DURING THE DAY

Instead of eating 3 huge meals during the day, split them up in 5-6 small meals. It boosts metabolism and keeps you active throughout the day.

AVOID PACKAGED SNACK FOOD

Avoid eating packaged food loaded with Salts and Sugar. Switch to healthy snacking ideas like nuts, fruits, a baby carrot or Greek yoghurt. Making these small changes today can take you one step closer to your fitness goal.
